The Rough Draft

I'm in shock that we've already reached the final rough draft. It feels like yesterday we were just talking about the rational argument and how to write it. I'm pretty confident about this rough draft. Even though this rough draft took a lot of time and effort to complete, there are only minor corrections left to do before the final draft is published. It's really somewhat upsetting that Card 101 is coming to an end in just a few weeks. We've already reached the end of our journey. I can't believe it. This course has two more weeks before the last draft is due, followed by finals and the end of the school year.

This Rational Argument taught me a lot through writing. It taught me that not all writing has to be argued towards one side. An argument that is founded on logic and reason is said to be reasonable. By outlining a concise and sound argument, it seeks to persuade the reader. Speeches, writings, and even casual chats are all acceptable ways to communicate rational ideas. However, compared to a casual discussion or even an essay, an argument paper is a particular kind of written argument that is often longer and more formal. Argumentative essays frequently have a predetermined format that includes an introduction, thesis statement, supporting details, and a conclusion. An argument paper's goal is to persuade the reader of the writer's viewpoint on a particular topic, frequently by drawing on substantial research and supporting data. In conclusion, while both rational arguments and argument papers seek to persuade the reader, argument papers are a more formal and structured style of argumentation that frequently includes in-depth research and supporting data. The goal of rational arguments, on the other hand, is to convey a coherent and logical line of reasoning. They can be presented in a variety of ways.

I'm eager to hear some feedback on this rational argument. Just to fix a few things and do it to the best of my ability. Even if I don't receive a good grade, I still learned something through this. I think the purpose of a rough draft teaches you so much about writing. Despite everything, this writing strategy taught me a lot. I'm glad I had the opportunity to practice so many various writing genres in this course. Even though there were moments when I felt like I had writer's block and couldn't write anything, I always managed to snap out of it by writing for the pure enjoyment of it, and one thing led to another until I had a rough copy.

Week Recap

Card 101 was a really knowledgeable week this week. This week taught me a lot. We had research skill training on Monday. I gained a lot of knowledge from the things we discussed and discovered. The webpage that we may use to access the library website was fantastic. The statements beginning with "Or" and "And" were my favorites. I find it fascinating how much those two words may alter during the course of research. For instance, how much they both explicitly narrow down what you are seeking for. I really enjoyed the sheet she gave us and how we could go in some direction if necessary. I just believed that doing this demonstrated our familiarity with the research method, but it will also aid in simplifying the procedure and make it simpler to identify trustworthy websites.       After that, we had a workday on Wednesday. We helped someone with their topic by guiding them through the process of reducing a wide topic to a more focused on...

Warm-up to the End

For my Rational Argument it was hard for me to pick a topic. I narrowed it down to three different topics and decided on my topic after that. For me choosing a topic is not that bad because there are many topics to choose to argue about. But the thing that is hardest for me is finding reliable sources. For finding one I read through certain sections to make sure it is good enough for my point or if it counters it to make sure I have a thing to back it up. I am pretty positive my sources I have so far are pretty reliable and I am confident with them.       The other thing that I oddly struggle on is just trying to write small pieces of the paper at a time. I love to just write the whole paper whether it is a “Shitty First Draft” and it might not be an A paper. I like it because once I get on a roll with writing a paper I honestly dont wanna stop. For my first rough draft I already have 5 pages done but I am still not done with it. I found most of my sources to ...

Microtheme

I have never written a paper like this Microtheme before. It discourages you from taking a stand or trying to support your points with facts. This particular piece of writing will benefit my professional development as a writer. We are all so familiar with choosing sides and arguing for them. However, this goes further into writing and forces you to consider an idea you agree with without arguing for the point. This kind of writing will assist us in learning how to use our critical thinking skills more and keep our sentences brief and to the point.      I underestimated how difficult this piece would be. I found it quite difficult to choose a topic, especially given how use I am to support my claims with evidence. I eventually settled on a topic, but given the standards we must maintain, it was still incredibly challenging to write about. To the best of my ability, I wrote my rough draft using all the examples as a guide. I was stil...
